Our People Make All the Difference

Wade Praeger
Wade grew up in Seattle, attended college at the University of Washington and earned a graduate degree in history at Western Washington University.

Wade's athletic career started in the pool at age 6, but it wasn't until he ran his first marathon at age 14 that he really started hitting his stride. After an eight month bike tour of the U.S. in 1981, Wade became a triathlete by default and has been going full speed ever since.

After 17 years in the retail running business at Super Jock 'n Jill in Seattle, it was time to start working his own gig at Everyday Athlete. Besides his hours on the floor and in the office at Everyday Athlete, Wade coaches triathletes for the Leukemia/Lymphoma Society, leads a masters swimming program in Kirkland, is a member of Kirkland's Healthy Living Task Force, and writes a monthly column for Northwest Runner Magazine.

Lance Carter-Rodolph
Lance is a transplant from the wine country in Northern California. He and his wife, Janine, moved here in 1994 to escape the warm weather and join the search for Sasquatch.

Shortly after being hired at Jock ‘n Jill in 1994 Lance was promoted to the role of General Manager due to his total dedication to customer service and his outstanding leadership skills. It is those skills and the other challenges of running a small business that keep Lance jazzed about the future of Everyday Athlete.

After excelling in all the ball sports in school, Lance taught himself to swim, ride, and run and has since completed seven Ironman distance triathlons. He is a graduate of The Brenneke School of Massage as well as being a USAT Level I Certified Triathlon Coach.

Len Fedore
After years of competing at the upper levels of the sport, Len's competitive running days are mostly behind him, but don't be surprised if one day he shows up at a local 5k and gives the top masters runners a scare. Len started running at Lakes High School in Tacoma then earned a scholarship to Texas Tech University in the early 80's where he ran Cross Country and Track and graduated with a degree in Marketing.

These days Len gets his exercise chasing his young daughter and running with the family hound, that is when he is not out working on his golf game.

Len has been working in the running shoe and apparel biz for 20+ years at all levels of the supply chain. He is recognized by the company rep's as an authority on apparel styles, trends, fabrics, and merchandising. You will quickly learn what that means for you when Len gives you the gold medal service here at Everyday Athlete.

Kathryn Boddy
Kathryn and her dad started running together when she was a fourth grader at Kenmore Elementary and she’s been at it ever since. In 2007 she was infected with the T1-T2 triathlon virus and while competing in her first Ironman in November of 2009 she qualified for the World Championships in Kona.

She attends the University of Washington and is majoring in biology and Spanish. Her studies focus mainly on physiology and medicine.

Kathryn says she really enjoys her job both as a sales person and helping with the books at Everyday Athlete. Where else could she hang out with great customers and coworkers and have the satisfaction of helping people with their running and triathlon needs? Kathryn says, "Everyday Athlete customers are the best!"

Sadie Praeger
Sadie found a home with Wade after several months at the Bellevue Humane Society. Good manners prevent us from stating her age but suffice it to say she is a mature and worldly mutt.

Sadie likes bones, off-leash walks at Marymoor, sniffing around for food, and meeting nice people.

Sugar Rae Carter
Sugar Rae is a pure bred Boxer who had first birthday last March. Ready to play anytime, anywhere, with anyone, Sugar manages to be as gentle as she is energetic.

Sugar is already 55 pounds of pure muscle and runs almost daily with either her Mom or Dad so she certainly qualifies as an everyday athlete.
